Situation
Fitness Quest was looking for a product design partner to take them from concept development through tooling release. They selected WhiteBoard for their ability to provide all phases of product development.

Solution
The Fit One Skier was created to serve the market need for a quality, low-end home fitness machine. But it didn’t have to look low-end. Extremely understated and elegant, the Fit One Skier is as comfortable in the house as a piece of furniture. This machine offers simple on/off electronics, adjustable resistance for the upper and lower body, and slip-resistant foot skates. Folding poles and electronics allow it to be stored flat in a matter of seconds. The successful project resulted in a 40% reduction in manufacturing costs, an 80% reduction in assembly time, a 75% reduction in the number of parts—and a 300% increase in sales. The Fit One Skier also claimed best of category in the 1991 International Design competition.
