Situation
Possis, a world leader in blood clot removal, needed their Guard Dog blood clot device redesigned to meet medical industry requirements for better ergonomics and ease in user interface.

Solution
WhiteBoard partnered with Possis to reduce the number of parts and simplify the assembly. After multiple form study models were made and tested, an appropriate ergonomic solution was identified, redefining and improving product operation. Material selection played a critical role in successfully evoking a look of quality while also addressing sterilization needs and past discoloration issues. Finally, a clear and simple graphic interface was implemented, eliminating language barriers with a second level of communication to easily and effectively lead a surgeon through the five-step operation.
